Ariele Riboh, MS, LCPC, NCC, R-DMT

Ariele is the embodiment of motion – graceful, focused, and determined.

Ariele is a licensed clinical professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor and a registered dance/movement therapist. She holds an MS in Dance/Movement therapy  from Pratt Institute, NY; as well as an MS in clinical counseling psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, IL. 

She is additionally trained as a yoga and prenatal yoga teacher. She has worked in inpatient programs, day treatment, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient and outpatient settings since 2009.

What can I expect if I decide to work with her? 

Through her practice, Ariele guides her clients in trying on new qualities of actions/behaviors and thoughts.  She assists her clients in  learning how to move metaphorically and physically in new and healthier ways, allowing for an increased sense of control, mastery and self-empowerment.

Who does Ariele work with?

She works with children from age eight, adolescents and adults with a focus on depression, anxiety and body/food issues. Her approach is holistic. She incorporates all aspects of body, mind, diet, activity level, relationships, and environment into her wellness plans. Mindfulness, which includes breath work and meditation, movement exploration as well as cognitive behavior therapy are integral components in her counseling. 

Who is Ariele outside of work?

Outside of work, Ariele is an avid yoga practitioner. She works out, dances around her house and takes her rescue dog Lincoln on walks. In her spare time, she loves arts and crafts projects, and restoring old furniture. Ariele is also an active volunteer and is a Team Leader for a youth sports league through Chicago Cares. 


Ashlea Palafox LPC, BC-DMT

Ashlea Palafox is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a Board Certified  Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT).  

Since 2014, Ashlea has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in the inpatient medical setting, inpatient psychiatric setting, and outpatient setting since 2016. Ashlea has worked with clients on issues related to quality of life, mood and emotional regulation, trauma, body image, life transitions and relationship challenges.

Ashlea holds a Bachelor of science (BS) degree in dance from Texas State University-San Marcos and a graduate degree (MA) in dance/movement therapy and counseling from Columbia College Chicago. Ashlea has continued her advanced training by earning a graduate Laban certificate in movement analysis and trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Ashlea has also studied energy healing work and completed the Attunement and Reiki I phase of becoming a Reiki Practitioner.

Since 2016, Ashlea has been a member of the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA). She currently serves on the Illinois Chapter Board of Directors as Vice President.  Ashlea also serves on the committee for the first ever dance/movement therapy conference hosted by the Illinois ADTA Chapter.

What can I expect if I decide to work with her? 

Ashlea uses a person-centered, strength-based approach when working with clients. Ashlea works within a compassionate, open, accepting, and loving environment where she helps navigate and plant seeds for her clients to connect to their grace, power, and inner light. Through self-renewing rituals, Ashlea teaches a client how to explore grounding, stillness, and presence. Ashlea utilizes the body and movement as a resource to tap into wisdom, hidden processes, and realizations within the “Self” - mind/body/spirit/soul. Ashlea helps guide a client to become more deeply connected to support fuller expression, health, and vitality.
