    Ariele Riboh, LCPC, NCC, BC-DMT

Ariele is a trauma-informed therapist who believes healing begins in the body.

Ariele is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor, as well as a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. She holds a Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is also trained as a yoga and prenatal yoga teacher, deepening her expertise in nervous system regulation and mind–body integration.

Since 2009, Ariele has worked across levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), day treatment, and outpatient settings. Her clinical work is rooted in trauma recovery, with specialized focus on complex trauma, developmental trauma, anxiety, and depression.

Ariele understands that trauma is not just a story held in the mind—it is an experience stored in the body. Many of her clients come to therapy feeling stuck in survival mode: overwhelmed, disconnected, hypervigilant, shut down, or caught in patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or self-doubt. Through a compassionate, structured, and body-centered approach, she helps clients build safety, regulate their nervous systems, and gently process traumatic experiences at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.

Her work integrates dance/movement therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic awareness. Sessions may include guided movement exploration, grounding techniques, parts-work, and cognitive restructuring—all tailored to the client’s needs and comfort level. Clients learn to recognize trauma responses, develop new coping strategies, and cultivate a greater sense of agency, mastery, and self-trust.

Ariele works with children (8+), adolescents, and adults who are ready to move beyond survival and toward meaningful, embodied living. Her approach is holistic and relational, honoring the interconnectedness of body, mind, relationships, and environment.

Outside the therapy room, Ariele is a mother, dancer, and lifelong mover. She enjoys yoga, arts and crafts, sewing, and restoring old furniture—creative practices that mirror her belief in the possibility of renewal and transformation.
